|This is a quite large and
ornate trunk with many features. The outside has the Sunburst embossed
pattern on all four sides and the top. We've carefully cleaned and and
restored the pattern in two colors to bring back the relief. The grooved
hardwood staves have a beautiful grain. The use of vertical staves on the
front adds a lot of character. Most of the hardware is cast metal and very
intricate. Inside the lid is a compartment that has been completely
restored. Also inside are a deep tray and TWO lithographs, one with a
Victorian lady and the other with two children and their dog. The handles
have been replaced with nice new double-stitched leather ones. This trunk
has a lot of storage space and will fit into just about any decor. It may be a long time before we see the likes of
this beauty so if you like it then don’t hesitate, it’ll soon find a new home. Just call
