Wonderfully Nostalgic Western Theme Antique Toy Chest, Safety Lid Stay

Safety Lid Stay that holds lid anywhere you leave it
so little fingers don't get pinched.

Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, Dale Evans, Tonto, Trigger, Bullet, The Lone Ranger - Return with us now to the Saturday mornings in front of a black and white TV (and theme music we would learn later was the William Tell Overture, written for an opera?). Although these Western Heroes are all gone now, how could any of us old enough to remember ever forget! And who would've thought your set of six-shooters with their holsters would fetch hundreds, sometimes even thousands of dollars now. When Mom gave them away years ago while you were in the military, (or was it later when you were in college?) she never realized how much sentimental value they held. Here's a chance to replace one item that has become very rare and collectable. This is only the second toy chest of this type we've been able to find in the last five or so years of diligent searching. It's made of pine with beautiful pine knots. The chest is original except for the addition of a safety lid support that holds the lid in any position you leave it. (So that little fingers are not pinched, if you want to pass it on to a younger generation.). We've cleaned and resealed the wood and left just enough bruises on it to show its age. The artwork needed some slight touch up but is mint now. We cleaned and polished all the original metal buttons. The rope handles are original and still very strong. The last step was to coat the entire inside and outside surfaces with an invisible protective clear-coat. We thought that was the last step until we decided to give up some of our favorite Western Hero photos and include them with the chest. The photos are all mint and framed to match. This is a fantastic collection of memorabilia and it won't be long before someone snatches it up, so if you like it as well as everyone here then give us a call, toll-free on 1-877-653-8786 or email us at TreasuredChests@oldtrunks.com and we'll have it professionally packed & on its way to your home within hours.
