Three
Piece Round Top
The owner of
this trunk painted the wood on this round top sometime back in the 1970s and had decided
it was ruined. It WAS quite a job removing the paint but we did it, and without any
chemical strippers. One of the reasons Treasured Chests has been so successful is the fact
that we are willing to work just as hard to save these pieces of history as were the
people that made them so long ago. The hinges of this trunk had been ripped loose from the
back so that the trunk was in three pieces. Below is what the trunk looked like after
restoring.
