A Treasured Chest Goes on the Back of a Rolls-Royce
Automotive Restorations Inc.
recently purchased this antique car trunk from Treasured Chests to go on a
1938 Rolls-Royce
Wraith they were restoring for a customer. The patina was left on the trunk to
match the rest of the car and
everyone was very pleased with the results. This beautiful car also has 7
passenger limousine coachwork by Inskip.

AS-IS Auto Trunk, DIYW (Do
It Your Way) Save Some Money!
We found this nice auto trunk on the spur of the
moment and just couldn't pass it up but when we got home with it realized we
just don't have time to restore it properly. So we can pass some savings on to
you and you can do it yourself, your way, for your car. Overall it's in very good
condition, all the hardware is there and in good condition. The latches could
stand some polishing, the handle on one end could be replaced or repaired, the
lid stay could be reconnected and the fabric could be tacked back down in a few
small places. There is one spot of damage on the lower left front but a good
detail person should be able to patch it. Yes, it's green and is the first
automobile trunk we've ever had that wasn't black but the color could be changed
to suit your car. Sound like a lot of work? Well, if you've been seriously
looking for a REAL antique car trunk then you know how very difficult they are
to find, especially ones in as good condition as this one, though it's not
perfect. It measures
36” wide x 16” deep (front to back) x 19” tall.
The patent on the lid stay is from 1928. As-is
$399. Trunk # BQ0503.
